It’s Friday afternoon, but for a weekend worker like myself, Fridays are technically my Wednesday.

Anyways, Maria and I had a very specific craving.. I, specifically wanted some chowder, but not any regular clam chowder…clam chowder in a bread bowl 😋

There is something so central to SF/Bay area vibe akin with clam chowder in a bread bowl.

I grew up visiting San Francisco with the family, having clam chowder in bread bowl while wandering around the Wharf and watching the sea lions sun bathe and waffle around.

We hopped in the car and set our gps to Fisherarian - an ocean side restaurant, famous for its Chowder, Fish & Chips.

The 35 minute drive to Fishetarian is a lovely drive through redwoods, windy, curvy roads, fields of brown and black cows, horses and other big beautiful majestic creatures.

On the drive down, the fog starts to slowly creep, coming up from the coast - the entire fog filled drive was something out of a rom com, or silent hill, whichever suits you.

I am ever so grateful to spend the month here in the North Bay // Guerneville - it’s quickly becoming of our favorite places that we’ve been lucky enough to a call temporary home.

We’ve lived in smaller towns, heck our last home in Mt Charleston had a population of 300 - but being surrounded with big redwood trees, a river down the city and oh, 20 minutes from the ocean just hits differently 🫶🏽
